Set up how memberships appear in the Member Portal — grouped by category, color-coded, and optionally arranged by payment frequency using a Multi-Step flow.
Step One - Create Membership Categories
Organize memberships into groups for easier member navigation.
Go to Settings > Membership Categories
Click Add Category, e.g.:
Gym Memberships
Visit Packs
Swim Access
Set a Sort Order to control the display order (default is alphabetical)
Each membership can belong to one category only
Category names appear as section headers in the Member Portal.
Step Two - Choose Membership Colors
For each membership:
Go to Settings > Membership Types
Click Add / Edit membership
Set a Membership Color
Click the color bar under the membership name
Choose from default palette or select Custom
Text will automatically adjust (black/white) for readability
Repeat for every membership to be sold online
Step Three - Choose Display Style
Choose how memberships are presented during sign-up.
Option A – Category View
Members select a category, then see all memberships within that group
No further setup needed beyond Steps 1–2
Option B – Multi-Step Membership List
Guide members through two selection steps
Choose a Category
Choose a membership, organized by Payment Frequency (e.g. Weekly, Monthly)
To enable, go to Settings > Advanced Configuration > Member Portal Configuration > Membership
Enable Multi-Step Membership List
Customize payment frequency labels in the same section (e.g. “Weekly” → “Pay Weekly”).
Step Four - Preview & Test
Walk through the Member Portal sign-up flow to check:
Category grouping and order
Payment frequency sorting (if Multi-Step enabled)
Membership descriptions and color visibility
In example below, the club has divided their memberships into 3 categories; Gym, Classes and Gym, and Visit Packs.
Multiple memberships can be added within each category.
