Ready to Configure Point Of Sale?

Once your hardware is in place and connected, complete these steps to configure point of sale within GymMaster;

Step One - Settings

Configure your POS preferences for both on-site sales and online portal purchases.

Go to Advanced Configuration > Point of Sale > POS Settings

  • Review and adjust options under:
    • Advanced Configuration
    • Member Portal Configuration

Step Two - Accepted Payment Methods

Choose which payment types your club will accept and how they should be tracked in GymMaster.
While GymMaster includes standard payment methods by default, you can add additional payment methods these to suit your club.

Navigate to Financial Configuration > Point of Sale > Payment Methods

For the purposes of POS setup, focus on the payment methods that will appear on the Point of Sale screen;

  • Show in POS – Should this option appear when processing sales at the Point of Sale?
  • Reportable – Should this method be tracked as reportable income? (e.g. Cash, Online Payments)
  • Refundable – Is this payment type eligible for refunds?

Click Save once your preferences are set.

Step Three - Coins and Notes

Adjust the cash drawer settings to reflect all denominations relevant to your country. Set up the coins and notes your staff will use when accepting cash at the counter.

Navigate to Financial Configuration > Point of Sale > Cash Drawer

  • Select Add Cash Value
    • Enter one denomination per line (e.g. 0.20 for 20c)
    • Use Edit (blue) or Delete (red) to manage entries

Click Save when complete.

Example Denominations and Setup

0.20 → 20 cents
0.50 → 50 cents
1.00 → 1 dollar

Your core Point of Sale setup is complete.
Before you start selling, take a moment to double-check your Tax Settings — then you’re ready to go!
