Member Holds

*A Member Hold is a temporary suspension or freeze of a member’s membership plan, initiated by member or staff.

Online Holds

Allow members to initiate a hold / pause on their account, per membership, via the Member Portal.
This will pause their benefits and access to gym.

Enable Member to Initiate Hold Online

Default settings for all holds are configured within Advanced Configuration > Member Holds

Be sure to apply these settings first, before continuing to Member Portal specific Member Holds

Once complete, continue to enable online holds;

  • Go to Settings > Advanced Configuration > Member Portal Configuration

    • Select Member Holds from the side bar
  • Configure the following options;

    • Enable Membership Hold via Member Portal - Allow members to add hold / request hold to membership online.
      Does not include members who are owing; see last option below to allow members who are owing to add hold
      • N/A - no holds enabled online
      • Add Hold - allow members to add hold online
      • Request Hold - allow members to request hold
    • Minimum Hold Notice Period - Select required notice period before membership hold can begin
    • Minimum Time on Member-Added Hold - Define minimum time allowed per hold
    • Maximum Time on Member-Added Hold - Define maximum time allowed per hold
    • Hold Charge Type
      • Free - member pays no setup fee and no membership fees during hold
      • Setup Cost - member pays a one-off fee for setup, with no ongoing fees during hold
        • Set Hold charge type fee
      • Ongoing Fee - member pays ongoing fee which is altered from usual fee
        • Set Hold charge type fee
    • Enable Membership Hold via Member Portal When Member is Owing - Allow members who is owing to add hold / request hold to membership online
