Getting Started

During Client Aquisition, with Sales Representative
Client Requests transfer from sales representative during signup
Agree on a basic or standard transfer
Sales charges client for the service
Sales logs a data transfer via the client’s profile on USA
Sales sends the data transfer email template to the client, which contains a waiver the client must sign
Client signs the waiver, which triggers an automatic email to the the transfers inbox

Pre-Transfer, with Transfers Team
Transfers team delegates the transfer job in transfers inbox to someone
Transfer agent will collect more info as required: Ideal date of transfer, billing provider(s), previous software, etc
Log data via the transfer in USA (/csv/transfers/), and mark as “Contacted”
Depending on perceived difficulty of the transfer, consider doing a test import before the go live date, which will require a test set of data

During Transfer, with Transfers Team
Submit draft of data to the client before it’s imported to check that member & membership counts meet expectations

Sanity check some members by hand to make sure things look okay
Present the imported data to the client, and work with them to rectify errors/incorrect data
Rename input_master so it isn’t overwritten (we don’t have a convention for this)
Prepare first billing batch if necessary
Send billing with client’s confirmation.
Set billing to automatic, and educate on how to monitor billing for the future

Post Transfer, Offhanding to Support Team
After billing is successful and there is nothing else to tidy up, thank the client for their cooperation, and advise them if they need any support to contact the support team
Mark the transfer as completed on USA Hold on to the data for a maximum of three months, and after that time has elapsed, delete it from your computer
