Membership Types

Membership Categories

Membership categories define functional settings that all memberships added under the category will inherit.
Settings selected here will automatically apply to every membership created within the category.

Tax Rate:
Assign a tax rate if needed. All memberships within this category will adopt the selected tax rate.

Cancellation Notice:
Define how much notice members are required to give before cancelling their membership (e.g., days or weeks).

Enrolment Limits:
Set a maximum number of members who can hold any membership within this category. Leave blank for no limit.
Note all memberships in the category inherit this limit.

Sort Order:
Determine the order in which this category appears online for members during signup.
Example: entering 2 displays this category as the second option.

Direct Member Portal Link:
GymMaster generates a link to the online signup page for any membership in this category.
Use this link to direct potential members to the correct sign-up page.

Maintenance Fee:
Charge members a recurring Maintenance Fee when they purchase a membership in this category.
Base fee is set in Settings > Club Details > Maintenance Fee.
Optionally, override this amount for the category using Maintenance Fee Override.

Require Signature:
Require new members to sign their membership agreement before completing purchase.
Members can sign during the online signup process.

Access Control

• Assign Bluetooth Token – Enables new members to gain immediate Bluetooth access via the Member App. See Bluetooth Access: Setup and Assign
• Assign Passcode – Generates a unique entry passcode for immediate door access. See Passcode Access: Setup and Assign
