Gatekeepers require an Internet connection in order to get updated information from your database. This error means that the Gatekeeper can no longer connect to the Internet. You should resolve the connection issue as soon as possible. The access control system will continue to work in offline mode, but will not get any new information or report any check-ins until it's back online.

Tick the checkbox after completing a test and use the Notes fields to record the outcome

If any of the lights on your Gatekeeper are lit, that tells you it is receiving power, and you can move on to the next test


  1. Look inside the Gatekeeper, where possible, to check if any of the internal LEDs are lit up
    • If there are no lights at all, then the Gatekeeper is not receiving any power. Try troubleshooting outlined in Gatekeeper Power Supply
