Setup and Promote Discount / Promo Codes
Discount Codes are a flexible way to run promotions, reward members, and drive new sign-ups.
They can be used to reduce the cost of memberships, bookings, or both, depending on how they are configured.
Members enter a code during sign-up or purchase, or staff can apply it manually.
Discount Codes are managed from Settings > Financial Configuration > Discounts Codes / Referrals.
Setup Discount Codes
To allow members to use discount codes online:
- Go to Settings > Advanced Configuration > Member Portal Configuration
- Enable discount codes for:
- Bookings
- Point of Sale > Products
- Sign-Up > Enable Online Sign-Up > Enable Discount Codes
Once you’ve completed setup above, select discount code type;
Then;
Membership Discount Codes
Important Only one code can be used per membership at one time; use discount OR referral code
Use membership discount codes to apply promotions when a member signs up or purchases a membership.
To begin;
- Go to Financial Configuration > Discount Codes
- Select Adjust Membership Discount Codes
- Click Add Discount Code
Set Discount Code Rules
Example: Discount code KCKBX20 gives 20% off a Kick Box 12pack, limited to 100 purchases total during June, available to new members only. Code can be used when purchasing online.
Select Next then Save
Select next; confirm details correct before saving code.
Booking Discount Codes
Use booking discount codes to apply promotions when a member signs up for a class or service.
To begin;
- Go to Financial Configuration > Discount Codes
- Select Adjust Booking Discount Codes
- Click Add Discount Code
Set Discount Code Rules
Example: Dynamic discount code with prefix KCK gives 50% off first Kick Box class booked during June.
Select Next then Save
Select next; confirm details correct before saving code.
Product Discount Codes
Use product discount codes to apply promotions when a member purchases a product.
To begin;
- Go to Financial Configuration > Discount Codes
- Select Adjust Booking Discount Codes
- Click Add Discount Code
Set Discount Code Rules
Example: Dynamic discount code with prefix TEE allows members to purchase tee-shirt for $10, when purchased before end of June. Must purchase in store.
Select Next then Save
Select next; confirm details correct before saving code.
Generate and Manage Dynamic Codes
Promote Static and Dynamic Codes
| Code Type | How to Promote |
|---|---|
| Static | Promote your static codes through all your usual channels; SMS and email campaigns, social media posts, website and so forth. Simply add the code within your message, and your members / non-members can use the code when they purchase / book online or in person. With static codes everyone can use the same code to receive the reward. |
